WHY Center Channel Speaker?
In a surround sound system the center channel speaker is typically placed between the front right and left speakers and is primarily where most of the dialogue is mixed in a soundtrack of a movie. With sounds being produced all around the listener, the center channel acts as sort of an anchor to the screen, keeping you focused on the visual action. It is usually placed on top of or just below the television and for this reason, it is important that it be magnetically shielded. More then fifty percent of a movie’s soundtrack is concentrated in this center channel so it is an essential part of a complete surround sound system.
