WHY Loudspeakers?
Loudspeaker is the term given to a transducer that basically turns an electrical signal into audible sound. It can utilize one or many of these transducers (also known as drivers) within one enclosure to handle several frequency ranges. Using a coil and a magnetic field, an electromagnet is created when an electrical signal is applied and causes an interaction that creates a mechanical force that moves a speaker cone back and forth thus reproducing the movement of a sound wave and making it possible to hear. Using what is called a crossover circuit, several different drivers, each responsible for their own set of frequencies, work together to output a more clear sound.
