While ZVOX Audio is a relatively new name to the industry, those behind this company are far from novices. With veterans such as Tom Hannaher and Winslow Burhoe, two men who have worked in the world of audio since the late 1960s and early 1970s, ZVOX is no newer to the field than its leading competitors.

Hannaher began his career as the Director of Advertising for Best Buy (then Sound of Music) in 1971 and became the Marketing and Advertising Manager for Advent Corporation in 1976. During the 1980s he created advertising and marketing programs for such well known companies as Tweeter, Apple Computer, and Kloss. In 1993 he became the Senior Vice Presient-Marketing for Cambridge SoundWorks. Burhoe founded one of the leading audio companies of the 1970s, EPI Loudspeakers, in 1969, and invented the inverted-dome tweeter; a product that is still used in audio industry to this day. He designed speakers for other well known companies including Genesis, Nuance, and Direct Acoustics.

ZVOX Audio made its mark in the sound world three years ago when it changed the standard setup of the surround system. In addition to decreasing the five speaker arrangement into single-cabinet audio systems, ZVOX did so without wires. ZVOX prides itself on its compact, wireless audio systems that cater to the lifestyles of modern day consumers without sacrificing the quality of sound.
