Niles Audio
Niles Audio has considered themselves solution-based since the day Ivan Niles Zuckerman founded his company, nearly thirty years ago. It should be of little surprise then that some of Niles Audio’s first products were switching systems specifically designed to assist audio retailers in easily demonstrating merchandise and components without manually connecting, disconnecting and reconnecting wires every time a customer wished to try out a product. Their first consumer products included a four pair speaker selection switch and a patching matrix for up to five different components. Inspired by their early research and development, Niles Audio began to offer a comprehensive line of lifestyle products especially designed for custom-installed, home-entertainment systems. Indeed, Niles Audio prides themselves on being on the forefront of transforming custom-installed home audio from a specialist hobby to a major industry – all while delivering value and great sound through high quality engineering and construction that allows for easy installation.
At the forefront of the custom-installed, home-entertainment system industry, Niles Audio was the first to design a multi-source system capable of use throughout an entire house back in 1989. By 1995 Niles developed a wall-mounted infrared keypad system which could easily provide one-button control of complex components, as well as the concept of power synchronization in which the system would determine and regulate the power on/power off status of the main receiver. By the late 1990s and early part of the millennium, Niles had introduced several multi-zone products which further distributed sound from different components throughout an entire house. Although Niles has a reputation for complex components, they also offer several lines of speakers – many which could be used for surround sound set ups or for home stereo systems. Also with the ubiquity of the iPod, Niles has developed their own connectivity set ups for the iPod.
Although Niles does not currently offer online purchasing, they have eighteen regional authorized dealers – a few of which are located near many of the country’s metropolitan areas – which you can contact in order to purchase their products.
