Home audio and theater loudspeakers company, Definitive Technology (a division of Directed Electroincs), announced on July 19, 2007 that Dave Pete and Paul DiComo have been newly appointed to Executive Vice President and Vice President of Marketing, respectively.
Both Peet and DiComo have extensive backgrounds in audio that include working for Definitive Technology as well as other well respected companies within the industry.
Peet has been a part of the Definitive Technology team for some six years. From 2001-2005 he served as the International Sales Manager and as the Vice President of Sales from 2005 to 2007. Peet’s history in the business includes working as the Audio Buyer and Category Manager of United Audio as well as in Electronics at Montgomery Wards.
Prior to being the V.P. of Marketing, a newly created position within Definitive Technology, DiComo worked for Polk Audio for over 24 years as Polk’s first National Sales Manager and Marketing Manager (since 2005). He also worked for NAD as the National Sales Coordinator prior to 1983.
The President of Definitive Technology, Sandy Gross, said that he is excited to see what prospects Peet will bring to the company in the future.
“Dave Peet has, over the last several years, taken on a significant and expanded role in the management of Definitive Technology. I am excited to appoint him to the newly created position of Executive V.P., which more accurately describes the new responsibilities that he now handles in addition to heading up Definitive’s sales efforts,” Gross said.
Gross also suggested his excitement to be working with DiComo and discussed his feelings on appointing him to a newly developed position within Definitive.
“I am thrilled to be working with Paul [DiComo] again. I have conducted a long and extensive search to fill this marketing position and feel that we have hired the best person in the industry for the job,” Gross said.
