Thiel’s got a new look for this year’s CEDIA Expo on September 6, 2007: new floor-standing CS3.7s, bookshelf-sized SCS4s and a SS1 subwoofer. Stationed in Denver, CO, Thiel plans to feature these hot, new items in a multi-channel system that will demonstrate music live.
Some of these products, while also new to most audiophile’s eyes, are also award winning. The CS3.7, now being shipped to dealers and in production, was a CES Innovations Design & Engineering Award Winner for 2007 and rated Product of the Year by EH Publishing. Jim Thiel even says that this beauty is “the most significant product introduction from THIEL in at least ten years.”
The SCS4s and SS1 subwoofers are also renowned for their innovative features. Thiel’s SS1subwoofer is resourcefully designed and sold for $2900 per woofer.Company president Kathy Gornik says that the bookshelf-sized SCS4s, which are not even in stores yet, may be labeled as bookshelf speakers but are wide-ranging.
“The SCS4’s high efficiency, magnetic shielding, narrow shape, and very accurate reproduction make it perfect for use as a high performance center or rear channel speaker in home theater and multi-channel systems,” Gornik said.
Currently, Thiel has been in the business for 30 years and remains the choice for sound reproduction by many audiophiles.
