Great speakers to look at. Love the colors, and the sound is full-bodied and open.
As soon as I saw these KEF iQ1 2-way speakers I was in love with their design— at least the external part. I loved the smooth way they felt as I ran my hand along them too (Oooh, I’m getting excited just thinking about them). My favorite color is the Dark Apple which is warm and rich, sort of a deep honey or amber color. This smooth wood finish is one of my overall favorites and I have been around the block a few times when it comes to speakers! I am raving about the one color, but I have seen these in others such as maple and black; so no worries if you are partial to black speakers.
Of course there is a lot more to a speaker besides how cool it looks on the shelf. The good news is that these beautiful babies sound fantastic as well. The sound is big and open and good enough to handle any style of music. They also make a fabulous additive to your current home theater as well. They can produce the big sound that is important when you are listening to action packed movies. You’ll feel the punches as they land and the explosions will be a lot more exciting, that’s for sure!
These may not be the cheapest speakers out there but the sound quality is so powerful and full that they are more than worth the price. You won’t even blink at their expense once you have them home and hooked up. The quality is there and that’s the important thing. From the heavy duty construction, the good looking and durable materials, to the top notch sound, you have all you need in a bookshelf speaker with these KEF iQ1 2-way speakers.
While their focus to sound and impeccable range is hard to beat, they do take a little time to wear in. The first time I used them their sound quality was not as impeccable as it was a few days after the fact.
The KEF iQ1 2-way speakers rock, no doubt about it. The sound is clear and open, they look amazing with the wooden sides and the cloth speaker cover and they can be used anywhere because they are even nice and small. I love them.
