These speakers sound clean and crisp at higher volumes and are very portable.
The sound that comes out of these small, traveling speakers is quite surprising; it’s clean, clear and remarkably loud. The amplifier does a great job of producing a larger sound that you typically find in small portable speakers. The bass output is still lacking; however, at least it won’t destroy the music you’re listening to. You won’t feel the bass rattle your bones but these speakers reproduce sound well and you’ll get plenty of enjoyment with them.
These speakers are highly superior to other portable ones like the CTA Digital IP-RS2. The Panasonic Folding Travel Speakers are clean and crisp, even when turned all the way up. You can get a good amount of volume from these without getting a distorted or tinny sound. The treble and bass levels are very good. Although you can’t adjust these straight from the speakers, if you have a source with this feature, it’ll work well with it.
The folding design is interesting. I like the concept a lot. I just wish they could fold up into a smaller package; that would’ve been much better. Still, these were pretty small when folded. In an open position they’re long and slim so you can place them anywhere.
I also like the fact that you have the option of using these with an adapter or with batteries. This way the speakers are more versatile compared to other portable systems (again like the CTA Digital IP-RS2, which has no space for batteries). Being able to throw in batteries means you can actually take this system to the beach, park or anyplace that doesn’t have an outlet. Nice. But if you’d like to use these Panasonic speakers with the adapter, unfortunately you’ll have to shell out extra dough as it’s not included with the package.
These Panasonic folding speakers are a great way for to take your music on the road with you. The volume capability, the clean sound and portability make these well worth their puny price tag.
