Wow. The Polk Audio Monitor 50 speakers are a fabulous addition to any home theater system. They are powerful and the sound is so real and rich that they will literally transform the way you feel about watching television at home, not to mention the effect they will have on your movie watching tendencies. The sound is amazing, especially when it comes to watching those big action packed blockbusters—with each bass rumble, you feel like you are actually in the movie.
The sound is clear and there is literally no distortion. The one-inch fabric and polymer-composite dynamic-balance dome tweeter is what makes the difference. With its neodymium magnet structure, the sounds are completely lifelike and realistic. I was actually really amazed at the quality of sound reproduction.
The best part about the Polk Audio Monitor 50 speakers is that they are just as good at reproducing music as they are movie sounds like explosions and conversations. Whether you like to listen to country music or death metal, these speakers can handle everything you throw at them with ease.
I think that it would be perfect if you could buy these in sets rather than one by one. I always thought that if you are going to go with one big speaker, you may as well make it two, but that is just me. One really is great but two is even better!
The Polk Audio Monitor 50 speakers are really nice in the looks department as well. They come in two colors, cherry and black, and both have a wood grain appearance to the sides. These are tall speakers that have a nice, slim appearance that come in at about 35 inches in height and only 7 inches in width.
The Polk Audio Monitor 50 speakers offer clear sound that is pretty hard to beat—except perhaps by their sister speakers the Polk Audio Monitor 70 of course. The sound is magnificent and the versatility is just as great.
