Acoustic Sounds Inc. offers a nice selection of midrange to high-end speakers. Nothing too cheap or too pricey, their site proposes lots of suggestions for hi- fidelity listening as well as being a warehouse of SACD, DVD Audio, Vinyl and CDs.
The prices here are fair, but as with most specialty shops, you can often top the price at internet giants like amazon.com. Also their return policy requires a twenty percent restocking fee on all non-defective merchandise.
For an audiophile specialty shop, this one is pretty good. Offering lots of gear options for both the novice and the discriminating listener, they have a fairly wide range of products.

Acoustic Sounds Inc is one of those stores that have a wide array of products. Without being overly extravagant or inexpensive, they sell both the Arcam’s Alto Bookshelf speaker in Cherry or Maple for $599 and the five driver Vandersteen loudspeaker for just under $17,000. Generally for a slightly more discerning listener, Acoustic Sound’s inventory is still somewhat specialized. Driven by a well-intentioned effort to enhance the music listening experience, they have handpicked products that they feel best achieve this goal.

Based in Kansas, Acoustic Sounds Inc. has been around for twenty years and have two great showrooms for auditioning gear and recordings. Doubling as a Media retailer, they have a massive selection of SACD, DVD-Audio, Vinyl and CDs and a very informative Fact sheet on tech specs for the different formats. They also sell books to assist in building killer hi-fidelity systems. Their website is easily navigated, but doesn’t provide specification sheets for the individual products. They do, however, welcome user reviews and ratings.
I found Acoustic Sounds Inc. to be pretty impressive. They have a very good customer service section on their website that answers most questions as well as providing both email and phone support. It’s not a superstore, but it has a moderately good selection of a range of products and a nicely organized collection of recordings. For people who love great sounding recordings with great sounding gear, this is a good place to go.
