For each specific item, there is a wealth of information provided. Not just a lone photograph, but several images, diagrams and descriptions give you a lot of incite in to potential purchases. They even have podcasts and soundclips on related subject matter. For instance, when browsing digital cameras, you can listen to brief tutorials on taking better photos. It’s a nice feature along with the ‘In The Box’ section of the product descriptions that lists [and pictures] everything you will receive when you purchase that item removing any guess work about batteries, memory cards, etc.

The sidebar with an updatable shopping card helps you to keep track of what you’re buying as you are buying it. This is kind of cool so you can monitor your potential spending while you are actually shopping. For returns, there is a thirty day limited warranty against defects. They do not accept returns on opened software and there may be a restocking fee for damaged or incomplete returns.

TigerDirect is very customer driven and tries to offer the best prices possible. In light of that they have a policy where they will match any national advertised printed mass circulation prices on the same in-stock items/offers. Show them the published price and they will match it with credit good for anything they sell.  That sounds a little tricky, but somewhat cool nonetheless. Their customer service is available via phone, email or even live chat.

As for speakers, they have a pretty good selection. Not only do they cater to computer/multimedia needs, but they also sell outdoor speakers, gaming and home entertainment systems. There is nothing too excessive or geared towards an audiophile, but there are plenty of low/mid-range choices. This is, however, one of the best computer-type sites I have come across based mainly on the excesses of information and the price guarantees.
